Medical equipment manufacturer required a surgical table positioning pad with FDA-cleared silicone gel top layer, consistent 25mmHg interface pressure across all sizes, and autoclave sterilization compatibility.
Laminated construction: compression-formed silicone gel layer (30A) over closed-cell PE foam substrate. All adhesive bonds tested to ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity. Validated autoclave resistance at 134°C / 30 cycles.
Interface pressure 22–28mmHg (target 25mmHg ± 15%). Passed ISO 10993 cytotoxicity and sensitization. Maintained dimensional integrity through 200+ autoclave cycles.
